Keep It Simple. Make It Known.
What We Do For Distributors.
Unknown Labs provides distributors with an end to end integration of spectrometry systems that features hardware, firmware, software, and cloud infrastructure. In addition to unifying Raman, FTIR, UV-Vis-NIR, and related analytical modalities, we develop and maintain low level device drivers and control layers that interface directly with spectrometers, lasers, light sources, and acquisition electronics. These drivers standardize hardware control, timing, calibration, and data capture across heterogeneous OEM devices, enabling plug and play integration without reliance on fragmented proprietary stacks.
Spectral data can be normalized, securely uploaded to our cloud, and converted into a harmonized internal format with full metadata, versioning, and traceable lineage. Validated solver pipelines perform identification, classification, and anomaly detection, returning deterministic and auditable outputs suitable for regulated environments. For distributors, this architecture reduces integration friction, accelerates deployment cycles, and enables scalable, multi site rollouts of advanced material intelligence across industrial, environmental, public health, and compliance driven markets.
The Tools We Have Created
-

Cloud Based Integration
Unknown ID is the cloud connected spectrometry platform developed by Unknown Labs to streamline and centralize the workflow of professionals in the sector. It allows labs, field operators and industrial clients to connect and analyze spectrometer data from anywhere in the world.
-

Software Solutions
We develop intuitive interfaces that allow clients to identify and assess materials with ease. Some examples of our products include one click solutions for rapid identification and complex systems that control multiple spectrometers. Regardless of the service, our platforms are precise, flexible and user friendly. We adapt to your field of work, whether it’s in in a lab or on a production floor. Our goal is to make advanced material analysis accessible at every level.
-

Custom Hardware
We design Circuit Boards (PCB) specifically for the needs of spectroscopy professionals. It can power and control lasers and lighting systems with precision and stability. The PCB lays the groundwork for reliable spectral analysis thanks to its ability to manage complex optical outputs. Integrated with our proprietary Dark Matter series control systems, it delivers stable power distribution, modulation and synchronization for advanced material identification and diagnostic tasks. This platform is built for scalability and industrial reliability, which is why it is at the core of our high performance optical instrumentation.
UNKNOWN CLOUD
A Universal Spectrometry Platform:
With our software you can connect to and control multiple spectrometry devices in real time. Admin can instantly visualize spectral data, overlay multiple spectra and compare or combine them to precisely identify materials. They can also monitor, track changes and update spectrometer settings from anywhere in the world.
-
Instantly view live data streams from anywhere between 1 and 10,000 connected spectrometers worldwide.
-
Overlay spectra from different instruments or tests for comprehensive material comparison and let the AI assist in your decision-making, guided by your parameters and oversight.
-
Select specific spectral ranges. Those will be highlighted so you can identify key peaks of interest that you can reference instantly.
-
Compare a new scan against your library of similar materials to detect variances or confirm matches. Take it one step further and compare it against ALL your data to identify trends.
-
Use combined spectral data to determine material composition, treatments, or anomalies.
This platform enables streamlined decision making, remote collaboration and flexible customization — all from a single, cloud connected interface.
